CDS Director Club Operations CAN

 

The Director Club Operations CDS is responsible for executing operational strategies and overseeing daily warehouse operations within an assigned region to ensure exceptional customer experiences and strong financial results. This role leads a team of operational managers, drives performance management, and implements process improvements while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. The Director serves as a key operational leader, collaborating with cross-functional partners to achieve business goals and maintain service excellence standards.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Executes operational strategies to achieve revenue, profit, and growth objectives within assigned region while ensuring alignment with corporate goals and maintaining service excellence standards.
  • Leads and develops a team of operational managers through coaching, mentoring, and performance management, while implementing operational standards and best practices.
  • Manages P&L performance within assigned region through effective budget management, resource allocation, and implementation of cost control measures while identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, vendors, and Costco representatives, participating in negotiations and partnership discussions.
  • Implements operational improvement initiatives by analyzing performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and corporate policies while executing risk management strategies to protect the organization's assets and reputation.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports
- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports
- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

 


Travel and/or Driving Requirements

- Travel and Driving are essential duties and function of this job
- This role requires regular travel to field locations within assigned region for operational oversight, team development, and client engagement.

 


Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

 

Education Level:

(Required): Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:
8+ years of general/leadership experience in an operations environment, including demonstrated P&L responsibility with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Must have previous experience successfully managing and developing teams of 8+ direct reports.

Experience in multi-unit operations and implementing operational initiatives that drive business results preferred.

 


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

French language proficiency preferred
• Strong business acumen with focus on financial management and operational metrics
• Exceptional leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop teams
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
• Project management skills with experience implementing operational initiatives
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Environmental & Physical Requirements
Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 kg.
